From insurance agent to the policyholder's advocate
For years, Mike Norris helped Louisiana families and businesses choose the right insurance, first in the industry and then as the owner of his own independent agency. He knew policies inside and out, and he took pride in looking after his clients.
Then one of those clients called. She was a single mom raising a child with autism, and her insurance company wasn't paying her claim the way her policy promised. She was already carrying more than anyone should have to. Mike didn't hand her a phone number and wish her luck. He rolled up his sleeves, dug into the claim and stayed with her until it was made right.
Helping her opened his eyes. Mike realized she wasn't the exception. Families, business owners and churches all over the region were being underpaid on claims they had every right to, and most had no one in their corner.
That is why he founded Ocean States Public Adjusters & Insurance Claim Consultants. Since then, he has made it his calling to stand beside homeowners, commercial property owners and religious organizations when they need it most.
